Attempt to install MS Office 2007 on Parallels 9/Win 8.1 CD will not AutoStart,  selecting setup.exe returns error:

'Setup cannot find required setup controller file...network, CD or Package error'.

This cd worked OK with WIN 7 on standalone PC

How do I install?

Maybe it doesn't work anymore, or the DVD drive you are using is bad.

Neither is true, Installed WIN 8.1 from MAC CD Drive & Office 2007 CD Autostarts on WIN 7 PC.

That doesn't mean the drive isn't bad. Windows 8.1 comes on DVD's, Office as far as I know comes on CD's. DVD drives have separate lasers for CD's and DVD's. So the CD laser or it's accompanying circuitry could be bad. Also, I've often seen problems that were caused by misaligned drives, where a disk could be read in one drive and not another, although both drives were OK.

I suggest you try the installation via the LAN.
