Hey guys

Anyone out there have a program that can automatically search thru emails and find the email address and put it into the Contacts address book?

Here is what happened.  A client deleted all his contacts (accidentally he says) and now he would like to try and import them from his emails  Is there something that will scan thru all the folders in Outlook and take the addresses and put them into his Contact list?

Thanks!!

Well, I found this one. The only limitation on the trial version is that you can only collect 500 email addresses, and since it is just one user that limit may not be a problem. I don't know if Outlook has a built-in feature to import lists of emails into the contacts, but it may. (I use Outlook but not for email.) This one may be worth a try.

You can create a CSV file of the contacts  and import that into Outlook.

The easiest solution would be to use a backup up copy of the user's PST from before they deleted the contacts. Install the old PST, export the contacts, then reinstall the new PST and inport the contacts.

The above add-on pulls email addresses from the emails in the inbox and other folders as specified, not from the contacts.
