How to add .net 3.5 SP1 as a feature on windows 2012R server
I'm running into a problem installing SQL Server 2008 on the new box.
The issue is that .net framework 3.5.1 needs to be enabled under the Roles and Features. However, I only see version 3.5 listed there.
I am following the resolution steps outlined in this article -
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlblog/archive/2010/01/08/how-to-install-net-framework-3-5-sp1-on-windows-server-2008-r2-environments.aspx
When I run method 2 from the powershell it shows the success of framework 4
I have also tried this from command prompt: dism /online /enable-feature /all /featurename:netfx3 /source:d:sourcessxs /limitaccess
If I try to download the .net 3.5 SP1 exe it will not run. I've tried changing the group policy settings here but didn't work.
