Hi Samme,

I saw a lot of this at AppleCare. You essentially have two options:

(1) Contact AppleCare and ask for an iOS advisor to take you through the steps to sign out of your old AppleID. Beware: If you don't have AppleCare+ for your iPad then they will let you know that you can either purchase a "Pay Per Incident", which is $19, or they can send you articles that they would use to help you troubleshoot it.

(2) You can DIY and go through the steps below:

If you have access to your old email address or you know your security questions then go to

(A) Click "Reset Password" underneath "Manage your AppleID"
(B) Select "Email Authentication" if you have access to your old email, if not then select "Answer Security Questions"

Once you do either of the two above you will be able to reset the password for your old AppleID. After you reset it, you can then go to your iPad and put in the new password that you just made. Of course, now you have the option to keep using this old AppleID or you can sign out of it completely by doing this:

(A) Tap "Settings"

(B) Tap "iCloud" (If you want to keep the data: Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, etc..., then toggle the buttons off and select "Keep on My iPad"). If you don't care about the data then select "Delete Account" at the bottom of the screen

(C) After you're done with signing out of the old AppleID from the iCloud, then sign-in with the AppleID that you want to use.

(D) After you're done with that look all the way at the top of your iPad screen and you should see "Settings" and "iCloud" in bold. On the "Settings" side please scroll down to "iTunes & App Store"

(E) If the AppleID is your old AppleID and you want to change it then tap on "Apple ID:" and a prompt will appear for you to sign out of it.

If you have just updated to iOS 7 and are being asked for the password to your old AppleID then follow the steps in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5223

Hope this helps.
