right click shadowing

I keep having to do a
taskkill /f /im "dwm.exe"
to get rid of the shadowing of say copy or edit

when I right click (not all the time but most of the time) the dialog item that I clicked say edit will stay on the screen and not go away.

Is there a way to fix this?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
