I keep having to do a
taskkill /f /im "dwm.exe"
to get rid of the shadowing of say copy or edit

when I right click (not all the time but most of the time) the dialog item that I clicked say edit will stay on the screen and not go away.

Is there a way to fix this?

Changing the screen resolution or colour depth also resets the desktop window manager,
