JQuery won't work on my html page

I'm learning jQuery, along with .Net, html, css, mvc.  Anyway, the learning instructions had me load jQuery and it gives me things to do, typical.  But, the jQuery doesn't run at all or I get errors like the one below.

Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method.

Sometimes my page will come up fine, but the jQuery code doesn't do what it's supposed to.

I'm attaching a screen print to show you what I have.

my guess is it is not finding the library.  Remove your reference to JQuery-2.1.1.js and add these to access it from the main site to see if it fixes your issue
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.0.min.js"></script>
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-migrate-1.2.1.min.js"></script>

Yes, that does work.  So what do I need to do to get it to find my scripts?  I use the "pick url" to point to it right now.

I got it.  I put the full path to the project and folder.  That worked.  Thank you for your help.,
