Could some one give me an example of x509 tokens

I assume that x509 is an SSL certificate, but what would some of the tokens be, how many tokens are there?

Thanks

X509 is indeed an SSL style certificate - in fact, the x509 is the standard that defines such a certificate (part of x500 messaging, a system that predates our current smtp)

if you actually *mean* tokens then there are two types - tokens that contain a x509 certificate (pretty much just an external store, you could use a thumbdrive instead) or a cryptographic token which will usually *send* a x509 certificate, but may not use that standard internally.

Most of the x509 you will ever see will use the RSA-issued http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PKCSPKCS "standards"

On the other hand, if you mean the object identifiers within an X509 certificate, there are multiple overlapping lists - one of the better ones is the list of which object IDs MS support - here
