Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am needing help to turn off the ring of a DECT1580 Cordless Phone made by Uniden.  Even with my user's guide, I am still unsuccessful in my attempts.

Any help regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated.

            Thank you

You do have the correct manual right? For your type it should be easy:

volume off
Or did you try this already and this is not working?

Hello and Good Evening

Thank you for your quick and easy to follow instructions.  While I was carring out these instructions, an idea suddenly hit me which did help piece everything together into a solution.  In order to turn the ringer off for the DECT1580 Chordless Phone, the volume control had to be set to its lowest possible value using the down arror key for both, the handset and the base for the chordless phone itself.  The mistake I was making involved only changing the volume setting for the handset, but, not for the base station.

In closing, thank you once again for your help.
