I'm less than a newbie in app development and have a quick easy question.  Would like to develop an educational app that links to videos and documents that are stored on a micro SD card.  Thinking....the user puts the SD card in the slot, powers up the app and there are buttons to start playing a particular video or PDF lesson stored on the SD card.  Is this something that's possible?

Joshua - thanks for the response, but I can't even answer this question. I'm just asking if this is something that is even possible.  Do you have any recommendations on what this should be developed in?

You can use an html page to do that and just have links to the files and pdfs on the sd card. It would be the easiest way to do it depending on what you want the app to be. you could build a simple website that runs directly off of the sd card

Okay - this is something that I've played with a little, but wanted to do something a little more sophisticated, like a true "app".  I found several websites a person can subscribe to that will help non-programmers create apps, but was just wondering before I purchased a subscription if what I want is even possible.

Yes it is definitely possible and there are infinite ways to do it. It all comes down to what programming language you want to use.
