print spooler error on 2008R2

I keep getting a print spooler error and I can not delete any of the printers as the spooler will only stay online for a few seconds.

DIBSI,

How long do you have to work with the spooler after resetting the Print Spool service (services.msc)?

I have had to get around a buggy spooler once by having my devices/printers dialog open and ready to go...  Start/Restart spooler service, quickly jump back to printers, select a printer, and rather that trying to remove the printer there, click 'Print Server Properties'. Capture.PNGCapture2.PNG
Use that dialog to uninstall drivers and remove printers. If the spooler service terminates/stops before you can finish, you may need to restart it (again) and then quickly save your changes. The dialog box should stay open if the service stops - it just may not save unless the service is running.

HTH,
-Danlo
