Exchange 2010 undeliverable

My customer has several messages in their undeliverable queue (Exchange 2010) and I cannot figure out why they won’t go.I have made sure their domain is not blacklisted. The customer was able to send me an email but she cannot get one to go to her own gmail account. It’s very frustrating!

I restarted the Exchange services. Somehow the messages replicated themselves except with no sender. Now, I have deleted the original messages, but the copies remain. I have remote access so I can work on it anytime. These messages should expire by 8/3/14, but I’d like to get rid of them now and keep working on the original issue. Help?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If the messages have no sender, then they aren't the original messages, but NDRs. The NDR will have no sender.

The queue viewer should tell you why the messages are failing, rather than waiting for them to time out. The bounce on the timeout will say just that - they expired, which doesn't help with troubleshooting.

If no more messages have built up in the queue there isn't much you can do about it, it was probably some bad messages.
