Profiles in Win7

I have just noticed a new profile appear in Win7 called TEMP.
Is this normal?

There is also one named after my user name "TEMP.Schas123-PC", it seemed to suddenly appear.
Any ideas, is it a bug?

Temporary profiles get created if Windows 7 cannot start properly or cannot log on properly.

Get a clean shutdown (no errors) and a clean start (good startup). Log in with an administrator user name. Allow to fully start, go to Computer, Properties, Advanced, Advanced tab and delete the temporary profiles.
At some point in the past you will have overlooked a balloon saying "you were logged logged on with a temporary profile because windows was not able to load your profile". So it has nothing to do with clean starts, only with clean logons. The reasons, why windows could not load your profile back then cannot be determined right now. You can delete these profiles after making sure that they are not in use. If no one else has a user account on your computer, just delete them, or, if you want to be perfectly sure, enter those folders, look at the desktop folder or the documents folder to make sure those don't hold any data.

I am merely suggesting clean shutdown and startup to make sure the machine is running properly (no updates running and such like) before deleting the temporary profiles.

I understand temporary profiles can just be deleted as I noted above.
