Nexus 7K ,5K and 2K deployment

Hi ,

We have two Nexus 7010 sereis
and two 5k and four 2K.

1. I have gone through the Videos/Doc's and as per the docs we have designed VPC's in both 7K and 2K chasis

1.What design related issues araise if we enable  vPC in both 7K and Both 5K chasis.

2. If it is fine then what are the advantages

3. If it not good practice , what are the issues may araise?

 Regards

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It might be helpful if you could post some drawing of how you have the boxes designed, as well as what results you wish to get ...

So go to this link:

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/design/vpc_design/vpc_best_practices_design_guide.pdf

This is the vpc best practices guide and it shows examples of how to do 7ks with 5ks.  If you are going to set this up I highly recommend reading through this guide.

This should answer all your questions.
