How far have you got with the Email Router?  Have you  installed it yet?

Do you have CRM 2013 Online or On-premise?

For the Email Router you must configure an outgoing and incoming profile separately. You only need to configure an incoming profile if you want emails to be automatically tracked into CRM. You can use the CRM Client for Outlook to manually track emails.

For outgoing emails (that is emails created in CRM such as from a campaign) then you must configure an outgoing email profile in the Email Router. For this you need to have details of your or your provider's outgoing SMTP service. Or you can use the CRM Client for Outlook to send outgoing emails.
