Enabling DRS for a vAPP

I have a vcenter cluster with three hosts. I have HA enabled but not DRS.  I need DRS to deploy an OVF template.  I don't have the resources for the DRS to be on all the time, but can I enable it then deploy the vApp before it attempts to do any type resource balancing, then turn it off once it's deployed?

Why not just set DRS to Manual, and although it's enabled, it will not do anything e.g. DRS!

(unless you click the button Run DRS!)
