Hi,
I am using Diskshadow as below:

#DiskShadow script file

set context persistent
set metadata C:\diskshadow\metadata.cab
set verbose on
begin backup
      add volume d: alias d_shadow
      writer verify {c186601a-f9a1-4824-a90c-9d45484a808b}
      create
      expose %d_shadow% q:
end backup

delete shadows id %d_shadow%

#End of script

This works fine & has no problem, the problem is as follows:

I want to copy the content of Q: to another drive E:, however it doesn't work, see syntax below:

#DiskShadow script file

set context persistent
set metadata C:\diskshadow\metadata.cab
set verbose on
begin backup
      add volume d: alias d_shadow
      writer verify {c186601a-f9a1-4824-a90c-9d45484a808b}
      create
      expose %d_shadow% q:
end backup

robocopy /Log:c:\temp\logtest.txt q: E:\Backup %NOW% /XO /mir /xj /sec /TEE

delete shadows id %d_shadow%

#End of script

Also, if I add robocopy in the script, the drive Q: doesn't get unexposed & robocopy only copies the folders without any content.

This is what I want as end solution:

Diskshadow makes Snapshot & I want to copy the snapshot to drive E:

Thanks in advance,

A

Any one?
Here's two examples of other people using robocopy and diskshadow together:

Another option may be to use the open source hobocopy utility, which basically has shadow copying built in:
