if ESXI4.1 Virtual machine can be moved to ESXI5.x HOST

    we have on virtual machine run on ESXI4.1 host, can i join this ESXI4.1 host to Vcenter5.X ? can i move this virtual machine to ESXI5.x host?

    Yes, vCenter 5.x supported management of ESXi 4.1 hosts.

    and you can then Migrate (Hot or Cold), the VM hosted on 4.1 to 5.x.

    If you are going to discontinue the 4.1 host, you can then upgrade the VMware Tools and then later virtual machine hardware (in that order), but only if you do not need to move back to the 4.1 host.
