excel if and / or ... except
Hello Experts ...
here is a smaller scenario of what i have.
cell b1,c1,d1 can contain X or Y.
If any of the cells contain X, then place A in cell A1, unless any of the cells contain Y, in this case place a BLANK in cell A1.
used If or for the first part, which works well, but cant figure out the other part.

I did use a workaround though that gave me the results i needed .... used conditional formatting to change font to background colour.
Will let you know.
