z-index and links

We have a site - http://www.digital-wise.com/elwood/portfolio.htm where we put the container down to z-index -1 so that the logo can overlap.   However, now you can't click on any of the links in the body content.    I have tried promoting links to a higher z-index, etc but nothing seems to help.    Ideas on what to do??

Remove your z-index
Give the logo position:absolute
Give the UL top menu margin-left: 164px;

The bottom part of the logo gets cut off when I do that.   It's updated for you to look at.

Disregard - I see what I did wrong!    I removed the z-index from the logo too!
