vsssyncstart operation failed:idispatch error #8455
Hi
I am trying to clone a 2008 R2 VM on ESX 5.1 and am getting the following error:
vsssyncstart operation failed:idispatch error #8455
I found one article online stating the cause is having Backup Exec installed on the server. I can clone other servers that have BE on them with no problems. The posts I'm seeing don't seem to have a direct fix. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Right click on the VM in Virtual Center and select clone. VMware tools ver 9.0.10 is installed.
If you create (Take a snapshot) snapshot, with the Quicse option ticked, do you get the same issue?

I took a snapshot and Quiesce the guest file system checked and there was no problems.

I tried to clone a different VM server in the same Virtual Center data center with the same error message (diff host also).
I tried a third and that one worked fine. Is there some global settings in a Virtual Center data center (cluster) or individual ESX host servers that could cause this?
