I have a dell vostro 3500 that has a heat issue.
I have installed speedfan but it doesn't allow me to keep the fan running
I use to use i8kfangui on my other systems but I can't get it to work on this system (using newest version of software)
It will blue screen.

is there a free utility out there that will let me keep the fan running? thanks!

Did you install the i8KfanGUI with signed-driver enforcement disabled, and then sign its fanio.sys driver file?

did you renew the heatpaste on the cpu yet? - did you try another fan, or test this one ?

What most folks don't realize is that it is the backside of the heat fins that gets the dust build up.  With the laptop off, use a can of blowoff to blow in through the exhaust vent which is on the back of the laptop.
I had one laptop that ran 42 degrees celsius cooler, afterwards!
