Map network drive from Office365 Share point library - windows server 2012

Hello,

On windows server2012 when i log on to office 365 on IE in the sites section and public site The "open in explorer" button doesn't work. Also if I get the path to the shared data from another computer: https://officename.sharepoint.com/Shared Documents

I can't map a drive on the 2012 server to that location. It fails immediately.

I've done this once on a 2008 server. Can anyone recommend how to allow this?

when you map the drive it should be

\\officename.sharepoint.com\Shared Documents

it should ask for credentials

thank you. I don't think so. That isn't how I have ever done it before. And that isn't the way I have done it on any of the win 7 or win 8 clients in the office.

Thank you. It is funny because I looked at this article earlier today. But I overlooked the part about installing the "Desktop Experience" feature, which is what made all the difference. I also installed the hotfix which made it work properly.
