Hi, just a quick question.  I am looking at installing SharePoint server, can I install in straight onto a windows 2008 R2 Enterprise server or do I first need to purchase and install Microsoft SQL server?
Cheers

it does need a database; a single server can use sql express (2008 R2 SP1)
