Why is Installing Win server 2120 R2 Essentials fail with Media Driver Failure?

Hi, and thanks for any assist.

I'm building a server - a Proliant M350e Gen 8 with a B120i smart array controller.
I built a RAID 1 array from two 500GB WD5003ABYX enterprise drives using the Smart Array utility, and then attempted to install Windows Server 2012 R2  from the install dvd.   I encountered the error "a media driver your computer needs is missing", and have been unable to find any such driver to load.  The disks are model DW5003ABYX.

Can anyone help me locate the appropriate driver or diagnose why this is happening?

Thanks so much.

you need a driver to access the drives, follow this link on another device:

maybe you should change language to something that suites you (on the left bottom), download driver, unrar the "downloaded file.exe" with winrar or 7-zip and copy all files of that folder to an usb stick. At the installation process when its asking for the driver point to the usb stick and let the system search and add the driver..

The disk model is not interesting, its the controller driver you have to add..

Hi Sascha

Thanks for this.  I feel rather foolish that I hadn't found this out on my own, because I know I've visited that page earlier.  Worked like a charm!
