Problem with range in Dashboard workbook?

Folks,
I've attached a workbook that I would like another set of eyes to make sure I'm of on the right foot. This workbook was resurrected using a similar workbook rather than re-invent everything. The worksheets Main Menu, Introduction, SheetsNames and Topics is the heart of this project. There are several other worksheets (SolutionDisplay and Explanation) that I do understand and they may be needed.
I was having problems with my Range Manager but I think I've got that solved.
I just don't want to get almost there to find I should have someone look at it first.
Thanks

It seems to work OK and the framework seems good except you don't have the values in the Topics sheet that would let you scroll the Topics.. Is there any specific problem you'd like solved.

I have a question regarding SheetNames w/s where naming begins on row 10 rather than row 1. Is that fixable?

I forget why I did that but is it a problem to continue starting on row 10?

The first workbook, Formulas and Functions, required that the sheet names start at row 10. Remember this?
formulas and functionsI have no problem starting at row 10.You didn't see anything with the code to change? OK to move forward in adding Categories, Topics and Descriptions?

I do remember but why exactly 10 was necessary would require some research. Other than that the only "problem" I see is that currently you will not be able to scroll the Topics.

Here's what you should do so that you don't need to worry about the sheet names having to begin on row 10.

1. In Workbook_Open
remove

   intCatFactor = 10

Open in new window

Clicking a category sets intCatFactor, and that line was added at startup because no category is actually clicked at that point and the initial value needed to be set to 10. The changes made below make that no longer necessary.

2. In the SheetNames sheet cut "Introduction" from row 10 and paste it to row 1.

3. In Worksheet_BeforeDoubleClick
change
strSheetName = Worksheets("SheetNames").Range("ShowSheet")(intCatFactor + Target.Row + Sheets("Topics").Range("T2") - 4)

Open in new window

to
strSheetName = Worksheets("SheetNames").Range("ShowSheet")(intCatFactor + Target.Row - 2)

Open in new window

4. In Worksheet_SelectionChange
change
            GenFormulas "A", Sheets("Topics").Range("Introduction").Rows.Count
            intCatFactor = 10

Open in new window

to
            GenFormulas "A", Sheets("Topics").Range("Introduction").Rows.Count

Open in new window

Note that later when you add more categories you'll need to remove the '10' from each Case.

Talking about those Case-es I see you've correctly commented them out, but your comment symbols look like you added them manually one at a time. Do you know that there are Comment Block and Uncomment block items in the 'Edit' menu?

There are a few more things you should do at this early stage of development and one of them is to remove dead code like the 'PrintToFit' sub and its module and references to 'PEARSON', etc. You removed the vscrTopic scrollbar object from the main sheet so it looks like you are planning on never scrolling these Topics. If that's so you should also remove all the code that's involved with scrolling. If you'd like to open a new question I'lll be happy to do those things for you.
