Why do checkboxes move on my report?

THe checkboxes on my report move up or down.

I want to lock them in place on the report next to the text box.

See attached image.

Who is Participating?
I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What do you mean they move up or down? Can you explain this a bit more?

1. Your images are not really "Before and After", ...they are really "Design View and Print Preview"

2. The check boxes are not moving, they are in the exact same place for each detail record
What might be causing you to think they are moving is:
    a. you have a "I Know" section with height, ...but no controls in it..?
    b. The first two records do not appear to have any data in the fields listed in the report...

Open the Recordsource for the report on its own (sorted n the same way as the report) and take a close look a the first two records...

You might want to exclude records that lack a value for the Description field from the report.

I can't get them to align.

Please state clearly (and graphically) what you mean by this...
...as I stated, ...perhaps this would appear to "align" better if you removed the two empty records...?

This is what I get when I delete the 2 empty records,.
sample
...The checkboxes are aligned OK as far as I can tell, ..so again, you will have to be very detailed in describing what you mean by: " I can't get them to align"
Cant get them to align how?, ...align them to what?
Post a clear graphical example of what you need here.

thanks

You cannot change the size of a checkbox.
In design view you can move them down a bit to be inline with the text fields.

You can click on the checkbox then use the down arrow while holding down the Ctrl key for smaller movements.
