backups for outlook 360 and dropbox

i've been asked by a colleague to assist with the following. not exactly my area of expertise, so please give me some ideas or suggestions. in a nutshell, i am looking for software that will auto backup outlook 360 and dropbox. thanks.

With regards to our current IT requirements, perhaps you can have a look at our current back-up system which backs up our DropBox on a daily basis (M-F).  Our compliance dictates that we need back-up reports to show whether the back-up has been successful or not.  At the moment, we are just using the built-in system that comes with Windows and it backs up to an external hard drive attached to my laptop.  I do audit it sometimes but it would be helpful if we could get some sort of email alert to say whether the back-up has been successful or failed on a daily basis.  We also need to produce a back-up report on a regular basis.

Compliance also dictates that we back-up our emails,  so if we need to rely on them at any time in the future, we can refer back to them for clarification.  Is this possible and how do we go about it?  We are currently using Outlook 2013 on Office 365 (in the cloud).

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This will send you email of all the log file

Regarding office 365, You could do it multiple ways depending on your preference/level of expertise with troubleshooting powershell/
You have to use ntbackup/powershell to export the PST file which requires bit of custom scripting or you could setup a local hybrid exchange server and use that for backup or use a softwarelike  liveoffice from symantec.
