Hi Rindi I've checked the BIOS just to make sure but as you say I'm running Hyper-V with a VM running 64BIT WIN7. I have stopped the Hyper-V service running as that was a good idea but still I'm unable to load anything in virtualbox as 64 BIT which is annoying to be honest. Do you have any other ideas how I can resolve this issue?

Hi Rindi - I've worked it out :) Basically your correct but the solution is to uninstall the Hyper-V for windows and features

That's what I was going to suggest next. I was hoping that just disabling it (and stopping all it's connected services) would be enough.
