Hi Everyone Can you assist me please? I am running VMWARE Windows 8 64 bit but I need some help setting up the NIC on Workstation 10. Basically I have two NIC cards in the physical machine, I want to use one solely for the VM's but I want the DCHP to from the physical  router. Can you tell me how this is achieved?

    Accepted Solution

Ensure that both your physical network interfaces are connected to your network, on the "physical router network with the DHCP server".

You will then need to use a BRIDGED Network connection in the Virtual Machine, to do this Edit the VM, Network Interface and select BRIDGED.

BUT, one final thing, you will need to use the Network Editor in the VMware folder on the StartBar, to change the Default Physical network interface that VMware Workstation is using.
