I use Eclipse to run Birt reports for a MySQL database.  I have constructed many data sets to run the reports.  One day I logged on to my Win 7 computer and all the data sets were missing.  I have the sources and the reports but I can fine none of the sets.  Where could have they gone.?

Have you tried a data recovery utility Like Ontrack or Getdataback to see if the data is still on the drives?  There are so many possible answers to your question, but much more data is required to even start.  Who else has delete rights?  What apps run automatically on your system?  What is the data stored on?  What OS is running?  Is it virtual?  Has it ever worked?  Do you have backups?  What is the last backup (date) that  contains data files that are missing?  Is there anything in your system logs indicating a storage issue after that date?

    Ontrack got it back.  Thanks
