Installing CanoScan 8600f

I have a CanoScan 8600f but now use a MacBook retina which does not have a disk drive. How can I install on OSX 10.9.4 (Mavericks)?  Hope you can help

    How about loading the disk in another system, copy all the contents from the disk to a flash drive, then put that on the Mac and run the installer.

    Yes, haven't tried that. My old Mac has a disk drive. Never thought of doing that!
