Wsus Error in SCCM 2012
Dear Experts,
We have here server 2008 R2 configured with SCCM 2012 SP1. It was installed by another IT guy. Previously he configured Software update but it was not getting pushed to the client computers . Clients are only having windows 7.
I am totally new to this server world. I removed this WSUS from the server . After that when ever i try to configure WSUS it gives error. Removal method was i went to the server manager & removed the tick mark from the Windows Server Update service.after that restarted the server. As all the client computers does not have internet connection. the windows & also the sccm endpoint protection are not getting updated for the last Seven months.
Have attached some screen shots . Please help me in configuring WSUS & also the Software update point so that all the users can get their windows & endpoint protection updated.
Regards,
JCT

Hi,
Still i am getting the same error. The update could not be found there may be a network connection issue. sometimes I am unable to browse microsoft sites in the sever. Even if i do windows online update through control panel it gives me error code 80072efd.
Here we have a firewall device which is controlled by network team. The main guy who has configured it is not here. If in the device microsoft updates sites are not mentioned will it block the updates from the Microsoft sites.
I have attached the error image.

Did you set the client settings for software updates?
Did the new GPO settings applied to client computer?
Run gpupdate /force Restart the computer and run gpupdate /force again.
Run rsop.msc and see if the settings are in place.
while running the updates use cmd and run netstat to see what connections are made to SCCM.

Hi Vaseem,
By typing rsop.msc on the client computer it shows me windows update configuration. I selected the 4th option for the automatic update & also the time selected is 9am everyday. But it shows the 3rd option & also the time showing is 10am. In the specify intranet service i have given the FQDN of the sccm server but it shows as http://servernameonly. No .com or the port that i specified .I have enabled the client based software installation in the sccm server. Also this new gpo i have applied to one OU for testing only. Have run gpupdate /force several times & also restarted the client computer .
You mentioned while running the updates use cmd and run netstat to see what connections are made to SCCM. When i run netstat it shows all the active connections. I have attached the image.
