HP OfficeJet 8100 Problem

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with an HP OfficeJet 8100 connected as a local printer. We are also running Office 2010 on this system. When the user needs to print a spreadsheet in landscape she has to go through unnecessary steps to get the entire page to print. If she simply clicks Print she only gets one column. In order to get the entire spread sheet to print she must -

1) Click File and the click Print
2) She clicks Printer Properties
3) She clicks Portrait (Landscape is already selected)
4) She clicks OK

Then she goes back through the exact same procedure except she now selects Landscape and she is able to print the spread sheet. This has become very annoying and time consuming.

Please advise.

Thank you!

    Accepted Solution

Go to Start, Devices and Printers and right click on the printer. Choose Printer Properties and then navigate to the Advanced tab. Click Printing Defaults and make the changes there - these changes will apply as the default settings now instead of only applying to the current document.
