Visio 2013 - I want to have crossovers using the regular line tool, not the connector

I would like to have my regular lines create crossover symbols when I drag them over other lines. (See graphic).
Reason?  I hate using the connector tool.   So difficult to "fine tune"

I don't think you can get the Line tool to create a jumpy connector. There are ShapeSheet flags that you can mess with, but they essentially turn the line into a Dynamic connector, so... can right-click a regular connector and choose "Straight Connector" and achieve virtually the same thing.
