"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

# ifconfig -a

# netstat -v

In AIX system has different kind of IP's.. like bootip ,service ip ,persistent ip or admin ip

Bootip which is configure on physical or virtual network but not an alias interface, all the system IP's can be seen by using #ifconfig -a but in cluster the output will be quite big depends on the service ip's configured in the system.

we can check in cluster environment through #cllsif command.

Try smitty and walk through interfaces.
