Server 2008 is domain controller. Ping one address, get back the address of the pc doing the pinging
Hello,
Have a tape drive at 10.0.0.5 and it is down. So there is nothing at 10.0.0.5. I ping 10.0.0.5 from my pc which is 10.0.0.34 and when I ping 10.0.0.5 I get no response from source...which is correct..but then I get my IP address responding. So I ping 10.0.0.5 and get a response from 10.0.0.34 which is my pc responding. DNS cache? Lookback?
Thanks,
DT
