xenapp print driver replication fail

Hi Guys,

I have a question about printer driver replication.

We are running XenApp 6.5 on Win2K8 R2 servers and have been using the Citrix PS commands in the past to successfully replicate our drivers list across the farm.  However, atm, there is one driver that is in the list that is incompatible with a printer.  This same driver has worked for this printer in the past and we are not sure why this is happening.

I have used Farm Nanny to remove and add the driver to the Auto Driver Replication list.  When i run  a command to check if the driver is on there, it is, but when i try to print from the printer using this driver, it asks to install/update a driver.  I have also used PS commands but they dont change anything and do not offer any messages either.

Doesn't the driver replication overwrite the out of date driver?  I installed the driver on our ZDC so that we could replicate it successfully but to no avail.

Any help is appreciated

Try installing that driver manually on a server.  It's possible that the updated driver is not signed and thus will not install/replicate automatically.  It's also possible that the driver upgrade process has encountered issues.

i had to manually add the driver to the farm then individually add the driver using powershell.

Add-XAAutoReplicatedPrinterDriver -DriverName "drivername" -ServerName "servername" -Overwrite
