I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

try this:

Get-WinEvent -LogName System | Export-Csv <filename>

you can replace System with Application (or whichever log you want); replace <filename> with the full path where you want to save (like c:\users\administrator\documents\system.csv)
run in AD module for powershell
requires powershell 4 so on the 2008 R2 server need SP1 and .net 4.5 installed with WMF 4

Get the 'psloglist' utility from Microsoft here:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897544

Run it with the '-s' option, which will output a CSV file.  Import that into Excel.

What do you mean by 'need log with description'?  Try running the 'psloglist' utility and see if it provides all the information you need.  Try running it with the '-x' (extended data) option.

Download the application, copy it to your server, run it via a command ("cmd") window.

If you're running a server, you should be able to read and follow the instructions on the web page I mentioned.
