I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hey,

I believe you have multiple options these days being the Joomla's and Drupals depending on the VPS you are using off course.

It depends on what you are trying to achieve and how large your budget is.
You have the Microsoft version (new FrontPage) which is called Web Expressions, you can also go for a tool like dreamweaver but this is much more expensive and complicated to handle

And do you need a WYSIWYG editor or do you want to program it manually. If manually, just use a tool you really like, it can be as good as NotePad++ or just simple Windows notepad. It really actually depends on what you would like to do.

The Joomla's and Drupals of this world are more to be used for people who would like to set up a quite simple site which looks professional.
