Adding new outlook profile - email address contains &

Trying to add new outlook profile in control panel/mail.

Trouble is email address contains an & which seems to be totally ignored (and so wont work).

Any way to get it to accept this &?

Definitely contains an &. Just looking at mailbox on exchange server now and smtp address contains an &.

Whether this is a good idea or not is a different story of course.

Situation we have is yes we can access mailbox via OWA and perform what we need to do.

BUT user wants this set up as separate outlook profile. When you enter email address it goes off, deletes the  & character and looks for address without it (which is invalid)

try using & in the email address which is the html coding for the & symbol.

I apologize. it was $ not &.
I configured outlook with & in my email address and is working fine.
Which version of Outlook you are using?
How you are configuring (as POP, IMAP,or Exchange)?

In the end, got it working by setting account up manually. Does not work if you enter email address and then expect it to auto-configure. Exchange 2007 BTW.
