Solved SQL Connection to SAP

Is there a way to connect a SQL database to a SAP database?
I have tried the .net SAP connector but find it difficult to get going so want to look at rather connecting the SQL
database to SAP and querying the SQL rather. Is this viable.

    You should be able to do this from either instance by creating a linked server.
