We have just deployed VDI units. We have Dell Monitors with Dell Soundbars. We cannot get the microphones (headset or standalone) to work with this setup. Any ideas? We don't get error messages. Very frustrating.

How do you have your VDI deployed? Have you looked into the VMDX templates for AD which you can configure sound/usb/plugin settings with?

Ok Sean. Looks like there is a setting on the host where microphone is set to false. I think this is the fix. I will use your information however to understand exactly how this technology works. Thanks.

Very welcome, there are a lot of configuration options in those admx templates, if you have any issues there's always google :)
