After a long wait I have finally decided to purchase one. &nbsp;My purpose is read stuff, like pdf content conveniently in a small environment, of course to take snaps shots, play music and read foreign languages like Sanskrit, where I keep forgetting the mantras. &nbsp;My original choice was the Rectiva because of the impressive screen display, its sharpness, etc, &nbsp;as I have poor eye sight, thus would need to read the print enlarged to about 14 to 16 point. &nbsp;But the market has so much evolved that there are no so many models with all sorts of gadgets and features that it is challenge to make the right choice. &nbsp;I saw a comparative of the different apple models at <a href="http://www.phonearena.com/phones/compare/Apple-iPad-3,Apple-iPad-2/phones/5715,5255" rel="ugc">http://www.phonearena.com/phones/compare/Apple-iPad-3,Apple-iPad-2/phones/5715,5255</a>, but again I am at a loss of what to go for. &nbsp;I would prefer to buy American to keep Americans employed or at least to make them rich. &nbsp;Can the experts suggest some comparative studies or suggestions on which one to go for. &nbsp;Thank u.

Apple iPad - which one to purchase?

All of Apple's hardware is produced solely by Apple Inc., who determines internal systems, designs, and prices. Apple buys certain components wholesale from third-party manufacturers. The current Mac product family uses Intel x86-64 processors. All Mac models ship with at least 1 GB RAM as standard. Current Mac computers use ATI Radeon or nVidia GeForce graphics cards and include a dual-function DVD and CD burner, called the SuperDrive. Current Apple hardware includes the iPad, iPhone, iMac, Mac Pro, Macbook, iPod and Apple TV. Discontinued hardware includes the Apple I, Apple II, and the Apple III, the Lisa, the Newton, the Quadra, Performa, Centris, Macintosh II and LC series, the Power Macintosh, iBooks and the MacBook.
