Installing DAG into an existing Windows 2008 R2 Server Standard / Exchange 2010 environment

Currently have the following environment

5 Windows 2008 R2 Standard servers with Exchange 2010 server standard

We want to install a DAG for these servers in a remote datacenter.

Has anyone had experience installing a DAG to an existing Exchange environment like this?  I have read that adding Windows Clustering to an existing Windows 2008 R2 server with Exchange installed can cause many problems.

Is this the case?
