Cannot install Azure Active Directory Sync Setup

Hi,

I cannot install the Azure Active Directory Sync Setup as it keep showing the error (see screen shot)
that the password does not meet the password policy requirements. (WT!)

I have turn off the complexity requirements in GPO but still same error

What can I do next?

Cheers

The azure/office 365 global admin account that you use for syncing must meet password complexity requirements as well that is the account that is often overlooked.

Ok, I will try that, but so far in the process of installing Azure I havent been asked about those details, is that correct?

oh, one more question, how do I know which Global admin account is in use?
It is one of the first screens in the setup. At what stage do you get that error??

I am simply trying to install dirsync.

The office 365 has already been installed a few days ago.

I have updated the password (in the cloud) but cannot find anywhere on the server where I could update the password.

I thought that would easy eheheh

The dirsync setup wizard is not asking for anything unfortunately.
I followed up the instructions from the 365 admin panel.
I activated the active directory, then downloaded the sync tool.

It looks like I am missing a step!

I am not sure where I should be when you wrote:

"You enter the azure/office365 sync account as one of the first screens in the dirsync setup wizard"

cause if I re-run it, there is no wizard

Found the issue;

I already had 365 sync using the Essentials Tool, way before I knew that the Dir Sync existed.
I removed the setting from the Essentials Dashboard & re-run the dirsync.
The dir sync wizard now open & prompt for user details.

Thanks for putting me on the right pass
