I've been requested to get a new Comcast connection setup and a client. This is new and not replacing anything. They intend to get a 75 meg line with 1 Static IP.<br />

If they go with this modem/gateway/router and they get one Static IP from Comcast, what's the setup process? I know Comcast requires the modem be registered with their service and that can take time. <br />

Has anyone run through this process? I'm interested in receiving first hand experience on the entire process so I can determine how to quote my time.<br />

The main use of this will be for wireless laptop connections and a security camera system using a wired DVR with four cameras in the building. The camera video storage with be on the DVR's hard drive, not cloud based. &nbsp;The users want to access the DVR and review recordings remotely if there is a problem which I can support.
