Testing Connectivity Issues in Exchange 2010

Hello Experts,

      I have an Exchange 2010 server environment with 2 CAS servers and 2 Database Servers.  Today we have a chunk of users complaining that in Outlook 2010 they are getting a popup stating that Outlook is trying to retrieve data.  It will do that many times while they are logged on which is not normal.  I've looked at our servers and I'm not seeing any obvious signs but does anyone have some good tips or things I should check to troubleshoot or rule out that the servers are the issue?  Thanks for the help.

You can have your user hold CTRL and click on the outlook icon in the toolbar and go to connection settings.. from there you will be able to see what it is doing.

In the toolbox within the EMC there is a performance troubleshooting tool. Run that, it will point out if there are problems with your server.
