Recommending page on Facebook and Twitter

I was looking at facebook and there doesnt seem to be a way to actually just recommend a facebook page to someone. I have seen apps written to do this which does suggest the functionality isnt built it. Or is it?

With a post on facebook I can share it in a private message which is cool. There also seems to be a 'share the entire page' on a drop down link in the top menu but it isnt obvious. I was hoping for a button :)

I can see I can invite a friend to like a page in various ways but I would just like to invite the friend to view the page

Again on Twitter I cannot see any buttons to simply recommend the twitter page to a friend. And I can't share a tweet with a friend unless I retweet it.  Ive seen i can manually retweet and add my own custom message but its not really quick

Surely there must be someway to simply have a button on a facebook page which emails a link to a friend? Ditto for a twitter page

Thank you

When on the page, in the bottom right of the cover photo you should see a Share button

Twitter - I don't know

Yes you are understanding me. I can see how to do it on Facebook but I cannot see a way on a twitter page. From the twitter home page for a person I dont want to retweet one of their tweets or follow them. I just simply want to recommend the twitter account to someone else to view
I don't think there is a way unless you specifically see a tweet button for that page, which in looking around I never saw this 'button' on any users page

I cant find one either
It's in Twitter's doc's but apparently it either doesn't exist or no one ever uses it.
Twitter is a bit different in how Facebook works and maybe they just thought no one would want to recommend a 'page'
