Anybody know how to modify the mtu size (or what the default is) on an HP V1910-24G switch?
Cheers

So far as I know (having adjusted MTU to good effect), there is not need to adjust MTU on a switch. You would adjust MTU on the ISP side of a router. A good switch can effectively move most traffic.

While I agree with John in principle to answer the question directly I think the Jumboframe command is what you are looking for. This should allow frames larger than the 1500 which is default for ethernet.

Jumbofram 2000 or whatever size you are looking for

John - thanx for the response. Trend Micro Deep Security 9.5 requires the switches to have at least an MTU of 1600. I believe on this particular switch that jumbo frames (mtu of 9000) is on by default. Cheers

None of the answers was specific. However, in my research I found reference to the HP V1910 switch as having jumbo frames on by default. Cheers
