Word crashing

I have a client who has had office crashing randomly the last few days,

The error in the logs is as below.

The program WINWORD.EXE version 12.0.6700.5000 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

    Try the Office repair installation options.

    Also try to disable unnecessary plugins/ocx/com add-ins etc.

    Normally if an application crashes this much the installation is either corrupt (try to repair the office installation) or you have a hardware issue. Normally (my own experience) it is a memory issue that creates these crashes.. You could try and do a memory test.

    You can try this
    windows key + r
    Type: winword.exe /r

    This will try to replace word.  Plus did you try to open word in safemode?
    Type: winword.exe /safe

    I have run the repair. Now to wait and see if the issue occurs again. Thanks for the feedback I will keep you all posted.
